The event, scheduled to kick off at 13:00 Brazilian time, promises to reveal the latest innovations in artificial intelligence and how it can change the way people work and communicate.

This major new announcement comes a month after rumors that the company is about to introduce a new generation of productivity apps based on OpenAI technology. Now it looks like the company is focusing on demonstrating the integration of AI into its most popular apps like Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

This new announcement also comes a month after the company released new versions of Bing and Edge that are powered by OpenAI GPT technology. Microsoft even surprised Windows 11 users by adding a new Bing right to the taskbar.

Microsoft productivity apps get ChatGPT integration

Earlier this week, Microsoft announced that it was releasing a series of AI product updates to integrate business and productivity apps. They rely on Power Platform, a set of application building tools, and Dynamics 365, a set of enterprise resource planning and customer relationship management tools for the company.

According to Charles LaManna, CVP Business Applications and Platform at Microsoft, the upgrades represent the next logical step in the company’s automation journey. The new features come after the launch of text-generating OpenAI AI models on the Power Platform and the latest debut of generative AI features in Viva Sales, Microsoft’s sales app.

The Power Platform is nothing more than a series of low-code tools released with the goal of building applications and workflows for users. The idea is to be able to use artificial intelligence technologies to be able to present results that are considered life-transforming for customers, as Charles Lamanna told The Crunch.
