The new generation of computer monitors achieve impressive levels of performance. Same as its price, very very high in the high range. The new BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ is a confirmation of both aspects.
It is the first monitor of the MOBIUZ series with an OLED panel from a Taiwanese company, which in itself indicates a high level of performance and image quality compared to typical LCDs. It is focused on multimedia entertainment and games, both on PC and consoles.
BenQ MOBIUZ EX480UZ offers a massive diagonal 48 inches with a native resolution of 4K (3840 x 2160 pixels). A more classic format (16:9 aspect ratio) and very different from the ultra-panoramic ones generally used when using large screens.
Monitor reaches refresh rate 120 Hz and a response time of 0.1 milliseconds, which is not bad for 4K. It supports HDR10 and features AMD FreeSync Premium image synchronization technology for smooth, stutter-free gaming. Its maximum brightness is 450 nits and its viewing angles are 178 degrees.
includes function Black eQualizer which highlights all the details of the dark areas of the screen in the level of tones, saturation and contrast of excellent OLED panels. It supports 98% of the P3 color gamut and according to BenQ, it offers a lot of predefined usage modes, Cinema HDRi, Custom, Display P3, FPS, Game HDRi, HDR, M-Book, Racing game, RPG and sRGB. The manufacturer includes vision care technologies eye carewith functions against annoying blue light, no flickering and with a brightness sensor adapted to the brightness.
The monitor is aimed as a display center for all types of use and for operating the multimedia section integrates a 2.1 audio system with two 5W speakers and a 10W subwoofer. It has height and tilt adjustment and lots of ports: 2 HDMI 2.1, Display Port 1.4 and up and down USB hub port and USB C for data, 90W power and DisplayPort alternate mode.
In addition to scenario mapping and a quick OSD, it includes a remote control that confirms its access to multimedia and games, with the ability to connect consoles and personal computers. Of course, the monitor is a paste, but the worst thing is its price, which reaches the 2,000 euro mark. At retailers like Amazon, its price is going up €2,264. Very high for a consumer monitor.
Fortunately, the MOBIUZ series offers another ten good gaming monitors without breaking the bank. Check if you are interested in the BenQ store on Amazon. You have versions from 249 euros.
