The SpaceX Crew-5 astronaut mission for NASA left the International Space Station after more than five months in space.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was reported by Space.com.
SpaceX’s Crew Dragon Endurance capsule left the ISS at 09:20 am on Saturday.
NASA astronauts Josh Kassada and Nicole Mann, Japanese representative Koichi Wakata, and Russian cosmonaut Anna Kikina are aboard the spacecraft.
In total, they were in space for more than five months.
It was noted that NASA delayed the removal of the capsule from the ISS twice (Wednesday, March 7 and Thursday, March 8) due to weather problems.
The astronauts are expected to arrive on Earth Sunday morning.
SpaceX’s Falcon 9 launch vehicle launched a capsule with the crew-5 mission on October 5 last year.
As Ukrinform reports, on March 2, Elon Musk’s SpaceX rocket company launched a crew of four (the Crew-6 mission) into orbit, bound for the International Space Station (ISS).
