“Such devices can continue to learn in new scenarios, guided by their own curiosity,” said Russell Mendonca, one of the researchers.
Next, he said, the researchers wanted to explore how to use advanced commands to help configure the robot’s behavior; for example, by showing videos of people performing tasks or explaining the algorithm for performing these tasks out loud.
“We’re also interested in systems that involve multiple robots that can pool their experience so they can learn continuously,” he said.
