Gamers who like to have fun playing games on mobile devices met this Friday (10) the first details about the ASUS ROG Phone 7D. The phone is part of a line of three gaming devices that Asus will release exclusively for those who love to play games on mobile phones.

ASUS ROG 7D phone appeared in the test list with model number AI_2205D., revealing the motherboard’s codename “calama”. The listing confirmed that the Kalama motherboard matches Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, Qualcomm’s flagship.

Only eight cores The ASUS ROG Phone 7D chipset includes three cores at 2.02GHz, four cores at 2.80GHz, and one main core at 3.19GHz.. In addition, the smartphone comes with 16 GB of RAM, although more options may be available by the time the Asus device officially launches.

The database also indicates that a mid-range version of the Asus device will be released to users with Android 13 as their operating system. However, as with many rumors, it is possible that the manufacturer will choose some changes before the official launch of the device.

If this is the first leak to provide details about the ASUS ROG Phone 7D, then the most basic version of the device, the ASUS ROG Phone 7, has already been leaked. It is already known, for example, that it will have an AMOLED screen with a refresh rate of 165 Hz.

Considering the most basic model of the device, both the regular and the final version of ASUS ROG Phone 7 are expected to be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. While the former will have up to 256GB of storage, the latter will have a maximum of 512GB. The launch of the ROG Phone 7 series is scheduled for the third quarter of 2022, between July and September.

ROG Phone will hit the market with three different models

Although a few details have been released so far, it is already known that ROG Phone 7, ROG Phone 7D, and ROG Phone 7 Ultimate devices will be featured in the ROG Phone lineup. Prior to this, only the first of these had leaked details showing the configurations and specs it will have at launch.

Unfortunately, there is no information yet on the price of the device and when it will be available. However, it can be predicted that the cell phone will be sold at a slightly inflated price. This is because the previous version of the device, ROG Phone 6, is priced from R$10,000 in several retailers currently on the market.
