NVIDIA is waiting to launch the GeForce RTX 4070, a graphics card that will become a model entry into the high-end and that it should offer high performance at a fairly competitive price. This was exactly the main advantage of this top entry model.

For months, the information and leaks that appeared about the GeForce RTX 4070 pointed to an April launch, although they did not dare to specify an exact date, this finally changed thanks to a recent rumor that points directly to April 13 as the release date.

The source of this information correctly leaked the release dates of several models of the GeForce RTX 30 and RTX 40 series, so has a lot of credibility. On the other hand, the truth is that even this date makes sense, so initially we have no reason to doubt the truth of this information.

There has been speculation that the GeForce RTX 4070 has a 160-bit bus and only 10 GB of graphics memory, but in the end everything points to NVIDIA you have decided to cancel this settingand frankly, this is something that seems quite successful to me, because the resulting bandwidth would be too low for a model of its category.

This 192-bit bus and GDDR6X memory will allow the GeForce RTX 4070 to offer bandwidth 504 GB/s. In terms of performance, this graphics card would achieve 29 TFLOPs in FP32which would put it on par with the GeForce RTX 3080 in terms of raw performance, but its gaming performance will be above said graphics card and it will offer clearly better value in terms of efficiency and also on a technological level, as it will support DLSS 3 and frame generation.

We don’t have details on the retail price yet, but most likely the GeForce RTX 4070 will hit the market with a price of around between 700 and 800 euros, because the Ti model has a base price of 909 euros. It will be a graphics card capable of running games in 4K without any problems, although with activated ray tracing its ideal level will be 1440p.
