Pope considers Ukrainian conflict as World War III

Pope Francis considers the war in Ukraine a new world war, the third to break out in just over a century, and believes that armed conflicts serve economic interests, starting with the interests of the military industry.

In an interview with the Italian section of the Swiss Public Television (RTS) on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of his pontificate, Francis noted that at present no one can deny that the world is facing world order war since “all the great powers are involved and the battlefield Ukraine“.

Keep in mind that in just over a hundred years there have been three world wars: 1914-1918, 1939-1945 and this one, a world war that started little by little.

Regarding weapons, the Pope commented: “One technician told me that if weapons were not produced within a year, the problem of world hunger could be solved. This is the market that created the war (…) Wars serve to test weapons.”

In this sense, he recalled the use of new types of drones in the war in Ukraine, “which are being tested, are being tested new weapons“.

“If they tried other things, in favor of human development, education or food, it would be good, but the attraction to money is the worst enemy of man, the devil enters through the pocket,” he added.

“Jesus said you can’t serve two masters. Either God is served, and you can expect him to say hell later, but he doesn’t say hell, he says that either God is served or money is served. Curious what Jesus says because he demonizes the misuse of money.
