Google Pixel 7a will be the Internet giant’s next “budget” smartphone. And we put it in quotes because it won’t be cheap and will cost between $400 and $500. A new set of leaks gives us the best look we’ve ever had at its specs.

Once the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro are on the market, Google is gearing up for a launch cheaper version of the seriesrepeating the strategy of the 6 series. It should hit the market next quarter after passing the Google I/O development conference, and it will be a middle class that will always interest users looking for the “purest” Android and the best software support.

Google Pixel 7a specifications

The terminal will retain the design line of its older brothers and some of its components, such as the Tensor G2 SoC produced internally by Google. On the Pixel 6a, it will improve the refresh rate of the screen, the resolution of the main camera sensor and other sections.

To highlight the increased screen refresh rate, from 60 to 90 Hz and also Wireless charging which would be the first time it would be included in the Google A series. Sony’s main camera is a guarantee and the displayed resolution is higher than previous leaks have suggested. A dual sensor should be enough considering the good work Google is doing with software improvements.

The Pixel 7a hasn’t been confirmed by Google, but it’s certain to be announced at Google I/O for availability in late spring. As for the price, we don’t expect it to go below $400. But it will have traction. The 6a was pretty well received and its (few) drawbacks we see them resolved in the new version.
