We have been very busy and full of important contradictions regarding the possible launch of the PS5 Pro or not for a few weeks. Just yesterday we saw information that assured that Mark Cerny will be in charge of PS6 hardware and that Sony He was going to focus all his efforts on said consolewhich would mean canceling the PS5 Pro. That made sense, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Today, strangely enough, we find ourselves with information that points in the opposite directionand which states that Sony will not only launch the PS5 Pro, but that it is very close, and that it will arrive at the end of 2024. The source of this information is Tom Henderson, one of the most famous and reliable Insiders at the moment, who was able to consult sources in the industry, to unofficially confirm that the PS5 Pro this will be a reality very soon.

One of the sources they consulted told them that PS5 review with swappable optical drive, scheduled for release later this year, is just the beginning of new PlayStation-focused hardware. A Pro version of the said console would be the next big move for Sony and could force Microsoft to release an improved version of the Xbox Series X.

It is important to clarify this again nothing is confirmedand that given how contradictory the latest information is, we have to take it with great caution, although of course not all sources have the same credibility, and the one we bring you today has more credibility than the previous ones.

If Sony decides to launch the PS5 Pro at the end of next year, this model could be positioned as premium alternative to the standard modeland would serve as a bridge until the launch of the PS6 in 2028, as it would allow the Japanese company to fill a gap that could lead the most demanding users to stop their computer unless they have an alternative on consoles that offers them better performance.
