This was reported by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL), as reported by Ukrinform.
According to NASA, the length of the celestial body is about 137 meters.
The distance from it to Earth will be about 4.1 million km. The speed of the asteroid is recorded to be 42,012 km per hour.
It’s worth noting that if an asteroid approaches Earth at a distance of less than 7.4 million km and its size is greater than 150 m, NASA considers it a “potentially dangerous object.” The 2018 UQ1 does not meet both criteria at the same time, so it is not considered “potentially dangerous”.
As reported by Ukrinform, the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) reported on Tuesday, March 14, that a “potentially dangerous” asteroid 2023 CM passed close to Earth.
