Japanese company Skeletonics has been making robotic exoskeletons for over a decade, and unlike exoskeletons designed for use at home or at work, these devices are a real combat suit.
Each one is at least 243cm high, and as soon as a person wears their belt, any movement they make is reflected in real time by the robot’s massive arms and legs – it can even lift light objects with robotic hands.
The company introduced a new version of its exoskeleton designed specifically for the boxing ring. It’s called Skeletonics Fighter and although the technical specifications have not been announced yet, Skeletonics has shared videos showing people boxing on these teams.
