Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro vowed this Wednesday through his participation via videoconference in the “High-Level Dialogue with the Chinese Communist Party and Political Parties of the World” to work on building an “alternative to capitalism” that promotes the common development of nations.
The President gave “all the support” of his government, Chavismo and the Venezuelan people to his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in building a developed and egalitarian world, far from capitalist ideas.
“Count on the full support of Venezuela, our people and the United Socialist Party (USPV) in the effort to build a civilization in which we all fit, where we follow the path of development, equality (…) A new civilization of peace, harmony, union, common development,” Maduro said during his speech, which was broadcast on the state channel VTV.
He reaffirmed that Venezuela will support the initiative to create a “community of common directions” launched during the event, and insisted on the need for dialogue and coordination among the countries of the world in order to “make diversity shine.”
“I send you all our commitment to the work and daily struggle to create, as we build, an alternative to wild capitalism, neoliberal capitalism and imperialist hegemony. An independent, sovereign alternative,” he stressed.
In addition, he reiterated that Venezuela is the victim of “constant aggression” with “more than 900 unilateral coercive measures”, but after a period of resistance, the country is moving towards recovery and growth.
“I am sure that the coming years, through the efforts of all the peoples of the world, will be wonderful years of achievements and progress,” he concluded.
