Attorney General Andriy Kostin met with representatives of IT companies.
As reported by Ukrinform, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov reported this on Telegram.
“Today, the Prosecutor General’s Office held a meeting with Ukrainian IT companies. This is one of the first cases where the Prosecutor General personally gathered the industry, talked about the problems in the law enforcement system and received honest feedback,” the message said.
According to Fedorov, IT continues to grow. It pays taxes and supports the economy.
“The basis of the Ukrainian victory is technology. It is necessary not to interfere in the IT sector. In terms of taxes, we have already done everything – companies are actively included in Diya.City. Today there are 480 companies. Residents of the special regime, paying taxes to the budget for the year 4 billion UAH.” , – Fedorov noted.
But in his opinion, everything must be done to protect companies from illegal interference by law enforcement.
“The actions of the security forces should not have destabilized the functioning of the business world. We were working on changes in the CPC even before the occupation in Diya.City, we were planning to pass a new law on Stop Masks,” Fedorov stressed.
Now this process has accelerated. According to the minister, changes to the CCP should be adopted in the near future. This will allow companies to protect their work at the legislative level.
“We developed a general concept and presented it at the meeting. We will soon bring it to the discussion of all stakeholders. This is a compromise solution that takes into account the interests of business and the state – companies should work steadily, and Fedorov emphasized that the investigation process should be conducted in an open and transparent manner.
He is sure that the state should be the main defender of business and, in particular, the IT sector.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Digital Transformation is launching a free course on cryptography and blockchain.
