There have been various leaks recently renders of pixel 8, which would become the standard model for the future generation of Google smartphones. On a design level and sticking to the material that has been made available to the public, it does not appear that there have been radical changes compared to the Pixel 7, but the corners can be seen to be more rounded. On the other hand, everything indicates that the dimensions will be adjusted.
The leak states that the alleged dimensions of the Google Pixel 8 are approx 150.5 x 70.8 x 8.9 mmso it would be 5 millimeters shorter and 2.4 millimeters narrower than the Pixel 7. The screen of the future standard model, which would be of the Super AMOLED type, should Diagonal size 6.2 inches compared to 6.3 from the Pixel 7. Frames by renders, appears thinner, while the front camera perforation remains more or less in the same place and would be 12 millimeters in size. As for the Pixel 8 Pro, it should feature a 6.52-inch screen, work at 144 Hz and also be of the Super AMOLED type.
Other aspects that can be read from renders is that the standard Google Pixel 8 will have a dual camera setup on the back (or at least it can be seen). The chassis material is supposed to be aluminum and the terminal would have physical buttons on the right side for volume and turning the smartphone on and off. On the bottom side there is already a typical USB Type-C connector for charging the battery and transferring data via cable.
Everything seems to indicate that Google’s Pixel 8 series of smartphones will use the giant’s own Tensor G3 SoC and will run Android 14 as the default operating system. All the details of the yet-to-be-confirmed devices should be known at the next Google I/O 2023, which will be held on May 10, 2023.
