This Tuesday (14) language learning app, Duolingoannounced the launch of a new English course based on a powerful artificial intelligence system. GPT-4recently disclosed by an American company OpenAIowner ChatGPT. The course named Duolingo Max, is based on cutting-edge OpenAI technology that promises to provide greater immersion and intelligence for students looking to learn a new language. Through the use of conversational chatbots, Duolingo Max offers an educational experience similar to that provided by ChatGPT.
One of the main novelties is the ability to receive commands in image format.
Duolingo has launched a new subscription that offers users two new ways to learn: Explain My Answer and Chat. The first option allows students to ask for clarification of their mistakes through the use of artificial intelligence. The second option includes thematic dialogues, for example, conversations in a cafe or airport, to increase the student’s immersion in the language being studied. Both features are available to Duolingo subscribers.
“AI is accelerating our mission to provide high quality education for all. What we can do now with OpenAI technology will shape the future of education,” Luis von Ahn, executive president and co-founder of Duolingo, said in a note.

Duolingo remains free to users worldwide, while the paid version, known as Super Duolingo, offers its subscribers exclusive benefits.
