VCT Game Changers EMEA Tournament #1 Recap: The Return of the Queens

We missed our female talents on the stage of VCT Game Changers, but the memories of the 1st tournament that left our mouths open and our hearts to our mouths are still fresh in our minds.

From January 24 to February 6, 84 teams were registered, meaning 420 women (excluding substitutes) from across EMEA took part in a match they will never forget.

G2 Gozen, the all-female team at G2 Esports, who took the crown of victory and proved he was poised to dominate the scene, managed to reach the top by overthrowing British giant Guild X, who knocked him out in the the road stood. Road to 2nd VCT Game Changers EMEA Tournament The VCT Game Changers EMEA Tournament #2 will take place from April 25th to May 8th.

Here are the teams you want to keep an eye on during the upcoming tournament:

G2 Gozen: It’s no surprise that one of the teams you’ll want to keep on your radar is G2 Gozen. The team, which won the 3rd Game Changers EMEA tournament in 2021, as well as the first tournament in 2022, no doubt intends to speak out its style and continue its winning streak.

Guild.X: Ranked second in Tournament 1, Guild.X came out of the lower group and managed to advance to the finals by knocking out Alliance.Coven, Rix.gg and many, many more. While second place is also a decent place, it’s clear that the team wants to take the winning crown.

TENSTAR Nova: Although TENSTAR Nova failed to impress Game Changers again after winning the 2nd tournament in 2021, the British team still deserves to be closely watched. After beating Guild.X in the recent Birds of Prey: Chapter 3 tournament, TENSTAR Nova is one of the surprise teams on Game Changers, and everyone loves stories of coming back to victory!

Alliance.Coven: Alliance.Coven is still relatively new to the Game Changers scene, and things didn’t quite go as planned when he made his debut in Tournament 1, but the team still has the potential to take down the giants. We are captivated by the Coven and can’t wait to see what they will do this time.
