STIB and 221 other Belgian government institutions have entrusted software delivery and integration to IT service provider NTT Ltd. entrusted. After a successful cooperation between STIB and NTT in the field of data centers and cloud migration, STIB has awarded the framework contract for the provision of software managed services to NTT.

Together with the STIB (Brussels Inter-municipal Transport Company), 221 different Brussels regional institutions took part in the tender for the Framework Contract Software Managed Services Lot 2, which was won by NTT Ltd. Customers also include higher and local educational institutions, hospitals, municipalities, OCMWs and some police districts. The overall framework contract has a value of 150 million euros over 2 lots and runs until July 2028.

Various carriers

NTT was commissioned to provide Software Managed Services in Kaskade due to its specific expertise in cloud migration and managed services. Through Infrastructure as a Service (IAAS), Platform as a Service (PAAS) and Software as a Service (SAAS), the company will support STIB and other customers in their migration to the cloud. To do this, NTT works with various providers such as AWS/Azure or Google. The cascade system ensures that inquiries are processed quickly and correctly. If NTT does not meet the technical requirements or does not react quickly enough, the contracting authority can forward its application to Econocom.
