“As of today, Donald Trump’s channel is no longer restricted and can upload new content. This channel will continue to be subject to our rules, just like any other channel on YouTube,” he said.
The former US president is said to have been banned from posting videos on YouTube days after his supporters stormed the US Capitol in Washington on January 6, 2021.
At the time, YouTube said Trump’s channel violated the platform’s rules by inciting people to violence.
As reported, earlier Trump had officially announced that he plans to nominate his candidacy in the next 2024 presidential election, which will be held in the United States. But other prominent members of the Republican Party may compete with him in the primaries.
