The post reads, “Congratulations to the SpaceX team for launching two Falcon 9 missions approximately 4 hours apart today and completing our 18th and 19th missions in 2023.”
Initially, the Falcon 9 rocket launched 52 Starlink satellites from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California at 15:26 GMT (21:26 Kiev time) on Friday. According to the plan, they were deployed in low Earth orbit.
In just over four hours, at 19:38 GMT (1:38 Kiev time on Saturday), Falcon 9 launched The SES-18 and SES-19 satellites enter geosynchronous transition orbit from the Space Launch Complex of the US Space Force base at Cape Canaveral, Florida. The satellites were brought into the given orbit approximately 40 minutes after launch.
As reported by Ukrinform, SpaceX launched more than 4,000 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit today.
In addition, the company already has approval to launch 12,000 Starlink spacecraft and has applied to the regulator for permission to launch up to 30,000 more satellites.
