QNAP has introduced the NAS TVS-h874, a high-performance storage solution equipped with Intel Core Ge12 processors, based on the Golden Lake architecture in its high-performance cores and the Gracemont architecture in its high-performance cores. This new NAS can be configured with Intel Core i9 Gen12, which has 8 high-performance cores and 8 high-efficiency cores, and Intel Core i7 Gen12, which has 8 high-performance cores and 4 high-efficiency cores.
With this CPU-level configuration, the QNAP TVS-h874 NAS can offer high performance and is capable work smoothly and optimally with multiple virtualized machines. They use a ZFS-based operating system, have PCIe Gen4 expansion slots, can work with M.2 NVMe SSDs as cache, and offer 2.5 GbE and 10 GbE connectivity, making them a very interesting option for power users and businesses alike. and freelance.
Andy Chuang, Product Manager of QNAP, said that:
“The new TVS-h874 models use Intel Core hybrid technology, which combines high-performance cores and efficient cores. The performance of the hybrid architecture design assigns each CPU core a different role that multiply the result by 3.55 of the new TVS-h874 models compared to the previous models”.
QNAP’s TVS-h874 NAS series is available, as we expected, in two main versions. The TVS-h874-i7-32G version comes with a processor Intel Core i7 Gen12 with 12 cores and 20 threadsand the TVS-h874X-i9-64G mounts the processor Intel Core i9 Gen12 with 16 cores and 24 threads. Thanks to the combination of high-performance and high-efficiency cores, they can handle various workloads more efficiently. They support up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory and support dedicated graphics cards.
The entire TVS-h874 family uses the ZFS-based QuTS hero operating system, which is designed to ensure data integrity. The ZFS file system is self-healing and supports WORM technology. (Write once, read many times). It also supports inline data deduplication and block-level compression technology to ensure optimal storage utilization, faster data transfer and longer SSD life. We can store up to 65,536 snapshots to record all data and system states.
To round out the value offered by this new NAS, we have application storage Application Center from QNAP, which will allow us to download many completely free application.
