This was reported in a letter sent to the House of Representatives by Foreign Minister Alexandra van Hueffelen, Ukrinform reported with reference to NOS.
As noted, the decision was made on the basis of advice from the General Intelligence and Security Service.
In the short term, business phones bought by government employees will be configured so that only pre-approved applications can be installed on them, and “spyware” will be banned. This is especially true for TikTok, a program from the Chinese company ByteDance.
There are currently 140,000 civil servants in the country.
According to the news of Ukrinform, employees of the Danish Ministry of Defense, ministers and civil servants in the UK were previously prohibited from using the Tiktok application on their business phones.
On March 17, New Zealand banned the app from being used on devices with access to the parliamentary network.
The US banned Tiktok from official devices in December. Canada, Belgium and India have taken similar measures.
