Valve company has officially introduced Counter-Strike 2, a new multiplayer first-person shooter game created on the Source 2 engine. An advertisement listing the features of Counter-Strike 2 has been published on the game’s official website.
In Counter-Strike 2, developers will significantly reduce the response time, as well as improve the visual component. In addition, the appearance of various maps has been improved and new mechanics have been added.
The underflow structure is the foundation of Counter-Strike 2. Previously, servers only calculated changes to the map at certain intervals – “clicks”. The new architecture allows the Counter-Strike 2 server to instantly know when you’re taking a step, firing or throwing a grenade. As a result, both movements and shots have become more responsive, and grenades always fly in the same trajectory. Lid
Smoke grenades now use dynamic volumetric particles that interact with the environment and respond to light, shots and explosions.
Counter-Strike 2 is coming to PC this summer, and the closed beta has already started. It’s basically a free update for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive with lots of improvements to the Source 2 engine.
