Microsoft released Windows 11 last year and is putting a lot of focus on the new operating system. However, this does not mean that the company will abruptly end support for older versions of Windows. Windows 10 received this Wednesday (22), update KB5023773 with bug fixes and improvements.

The new update is not automatic and can be downloaded from the Microsoft Update Catalog or the Windows Update Catalog. One of the main fixes is the solution error related to printers connected via USB. Previously, the system identified devices as multimedia, which caused various connection and operation problems.

Windows 10 update

In addition to fixing printer connection, update KB5023773 fixes a bug that prevented a user from simultaneously deleting multiple accounts in ShadedPC. Another fix was a bug that affected UI Library apps in the Windows SDK, preventing them from working.

A bug affecting SCEP (Simple Certificate Enrollment Protocol) certificates has also been fixed. In this case, the Windows operating system notifies the user that the installation of the certificate failed, but in fact it has not yet completed. The OS update also includes several other minor system bug fixes that should improve the user experience with a Windows 10 PC or laptop.

Even though Windows 11 is Microsoft’s new OS, it will be some time before most users switch to another operating system. Windows 10 update KB5023773 is not automatic, so the interested user must manually download the update and run the file to start the installation. The update is available in the Optional Updates section of Windows Update.
