Evan Corcoranlawyer for former US President Donald Trump to testify this Friday before a grand jury investigation into the discovery of a series of classified documents at the residence of a New York mogul in Mar-a-Lago, Florida.

Following a new court order, Corcoran was subpoenaed after an appeals court ruled that the lawyer must give additional evidence and deliver documents about the former president as part of an investigation into alleged mishandling of these documents recovered from the White House.

Sources close to the case said in statements to CNN that this unlikely to appeal to the Supreme Court.

Trump’s spokesman, for his part, noted that “There are no legal signs or any case against the former president” and specified that prosecutors “attack lawyers only when they have no good reason”.

The Department of Justice stated in court that Prosecutors have enough evidence that Trump’s interaction with the lawyer is related to the possible commission of a crime that both are trying to cover up, based on the confidentiality of the lawyer and client.

In addition, he pointed out that there are handwritten and transcribed records in connection with this case.
