2 WINNERS IN THE LAST 2 YEARS

At Teknofest 2021, Baykoca Fezakadı Drone Team took first place in the Technology for the Benefit of Humanity category with its “Autonomous Leakage Detection by Drone Project”. At Teknofest held in Samsun in 2022, the “Baykoca Çınar” project developed by Baykoca Project Teams took first place in the Tourism Technologies High School category.

Continuing the preparations for Teknofest 2023, 3 project teams from the municipality of Inegol made their name on the finalist list with the projects they prepared.

Baykoca REGA (Guide Electric Travel Vehicle) in the field of Tourism Technologies, Baykoca Sina, which works in the field of Artificial Intelligence in Health, and Baykoca Testonom project team in the field of Educational Technologies made their name in the final.

DETAILS OF PROJECTS

Baykoca REGA, which has been in the works for a long time, will represent İnegöl in Istanbul as a finalist of Teknofest 2023 with its 2nd prototype.

The Artificial Intelligence Supported Smart Tourism Destination project started in 2020. In the project, which consists of two main sub-elements, the first is the production of an electric vehicle with a 100% domestic and unique concept. The second sub-element will provide tourism promotion services in line with Tourism 5.0 studies and will be integrated into this electric vehicle. It is the production of 100 percent domestic guide module produced together as a complex. The first prototype of our electric sightseeing vehicle for these two elements was produced in 2021, and industrial design revision processes are currently being carried out to produce the second prototype in accordance with the “Guide” module.

It is intended to train both the electric vehicle and the tourism promotion module to the final presentation process of Teknofest 2023. It is intended to interactively transfer our historical and cultural heritage to local and foreign tourists with the electric sightseeing- vehicle and the integrated tourism promotion module, which are the result of our project, and the visitors will appreciate the availability of the cafe-restaurants nearby. For this we are designing a unique “Visual and Audio Tourism Assistant” that will appeal to four basic language skills. In our electric vehicle, they can see historical and touristic places both visually on the screen and listen to them audibly with an audio guide, through smart systems. In addition, it will eliminate the guidance service performed by a real person and provide a digital guide service. Using the vehicle tracking system we designed, the location of the vehicle is continuously read by the Tourism module. With the instantaneous stream of data we get from the satellite, we can operate the “Guide” in all national and international locations.

WILL PROVIDE EARLY DIAGNOSIS

The “Sustainable Recycling Smart Test Vending Machine” prepared by the Baykoca Testonom team also participated in the Teknofest qualifications in the category of educational technologies at the high school level and qualified for the Teknofest 2023 Istanbul finals with 96 points. Under the project, “Digital Diagnostic Capsule (DTK)” will be produced. While the endoscopic images captured by DTK’s camera are being taken and processed, the concentration of gases formed at specific locations in the gastrointestinal tract can be measured at the same time. It will thus facilitate the early diagnosis of cancers in the intestinal tract; a standardized, reliable, cost-effective and new digital method for CRC diagnosis/screening is emerging. Collect data on CRC and possible pathology locations and motility activity by creating two-dimensional mapping of the patient’s intestinal structure; We aim to assist the physician in applying an accurate, fast and effective treatment procedure.

The “Capsule Detecting Disease in the Digestive System” project prepared by the Baykoca SİNA team participated in the Teknofest Qualifications in the Artificial Intelligence in Health category at the university and higher level and qualified for the Teknofest 2023 Istanbul Final with 84.50 points.

Using educational materials that make a difference to the student’s academic success in education is very important. Using a test book gives students the opportunity to practice more with the subject. In this way, students better understand the meaning and application of the topic. Apart from all these positive situations, due to the high cost of test books, it is difficult for students to access sufficient and high-quality resources.

The main goal of the project is to make it easier for students to get to the test books they need by placing a reversible test machine in different teaching/study environments, such as the library that students use a lot during exam preparation periods.
