After several developments, as brief as they are spectacular, Sony Pictures has released the official trailer Knights of the Zodiaca new film adaptation of the classic anime, the premiere of which is about to fall.

There are a lot of presentations Knights of the Zodiacafter dragon ball (either dragon ball? Although for me it always will be dragon ball) the most popular anime series to ever hit Western television. An absolute success of the nineties of the last century, created ten years earlier by Masami Kurumada, the creator of the original manga.

Well, the passage of time has only raised the legend of some zodiac knights whose rehashes have gone from remarkable to mediocre and indecent, see examples of this hades saga, The legend of the shrine or a terrible Netflix series, or But the classic remains unspoiled and with a legion of followers behind it.

Knights of the Zodiac

Sony Pictures, in collaboration with Toei Company and Stage 6 Films, presents this “live-action” film and an international cast that lets you relive history like never before. It should be noted that the cast with very familiar names: Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones) in which role Mitsumasa Kido played, to other veterans such as Famke Janssen (X men, Golden eye) in the role of Vander Graad or Mark Dacascos (Crying Freeman, john wick) in the one by Mylock.

Of course, if you’re a franchise purist and all you care about is knowing who the lead couple is, you can breathe a sigh of relief because as Seiya we have Japan’s Mackenya (you can see him in Kenshin the samurai warrior from Netflix) and in the case of Saori Kido (Athena), Madison Iseman (jumanji). The rest of the gentlemen… There’s a little bit of everything.

We leave you with a trailer from Knights of the Zodiac, which, as I said, looks spectacularly effective, albeit with more of a serial feel than cinema. The result, from which one cannot hope much with non-working anime adaptations, we will see next time May 25, theatrical release date. Meantime…
