The scholarships will give access to over 1,000 study programs in software engineering and English.
Candidates can participate by logging into the BairesDev blog from March 21 to April 20, 2023.
BairesDev, the technological unicorn of software solutions coastal, announces a call to offer 100 scholarships for women interested in technology careers. The initiative offers access to over 1,000 study programs at Platzi.
Through this initiative, BairesDev aims to promote those female professionals who are interested in advancing their careers in technology. The company saw a 400 percent increase in female candidates between 2015 and 2021, according to the Women in Tech report. This trend will continue in 2023, with 52% of its applications led by women, the highest peak in 13 years.
“We believe in the ability of education to promote women’s participation in the technology industry. We hope this opportunity will bring many talented women closer to learning the skills they need to build a successful programming career.” — Nacho De Marco, co-founder and CEO of BairesDev.
“We need to bring attention to more women in technology and leadership roles in organizations to inspire others to enter the industry. This is why creating spaces for networking and opportunities for learning is so important to further closing the gender gap,” said Nicole Chapaval, head of staff at Platzi.
Program beneficiaries will acquire software development skills and will have access to additional opportunities such as English language courses on the platform throughout the year.
Women over 18 can apply from March 21 to April 20. For more information on how to apply for a scholarship, visit the BairesDev blog. Those selected will be notified on May 8 via email.
