Ever since Elon Musk took over Twitter, the social media platform has been viewed with suspicion. To complicate matters further, GitHub user FreeSpeechEnthusiast leaked some of the Twitter source code online. A clear nod to Elon Musk, who took over Twitter last year speak freely to protect.

The code appeared online briefly Friday night before Twitter was able to take the code offline via a copyright claim. Sharing source code can potentially reveal vulnerabilities in the social media platform, which is of interest to hackers. It is not yet clear how long the code has been online on GitHub.

Along with the copyright claim, Twitter also filed a request for disclosure of the user’s identity with GitHub in order to prosecute the individual. According to the New York Times, Musk has feared sabotage ever since he took over Twitter. During the round of layoffs of 7,500 employees, he even instituted a temporary hiatus to halt programming until everyone left.

With Elon Musk at the helm of Twitter after a lavish $44 billion takeover, that money needs to be made back. The social network previously introduced a special checkbox for companies and employees in companies. After that, the Twitter API was made paid for, with a light version available for free use. According to Musk, starting April 1, no kidding, all old users of the “blue tick” will lose their icon unless they pay for Twitter Blue
