The US president has set aside $50 million for the production of electronic cards specifically used in modern weapon systems, enforcing the defense production law.
This was reported by Reuters, Ukrinform reports.
“Printed circuit boards are used in rockets and radars, as well as electronic devices used in energy and healthcare,” the agency explains.
In the relevant memorandum issued by the US president, it is noted that such a step aims to prevent the shortage of industrial resources and technological elements critical to national security.
McCarter and British lawyer Franklin Turner, who are interested in government contracts, noted that such actions would accelerate the production and procurement process of critical technologies “used in various military operations around the world, including the current conflict in Ukraine.”
As reported, industry groups in the US urged the administration to take such a step only last year. They emphasized the need to support electronics manufacturing in the United States.
