It’s still unclear whether Oppo and OnePlus are exiting key European markets. Let’s remind you, yesterday came news from a number of European markets about the potential maintenance of Oppo and OnePlus. When asked to confirm or deny this, Oppo said its business in the UK and Europe remained “normal”, while OnePlus’ statement flatly denied its plans to exit the region. The latest statement from Oppo’s press service in Europe does not bring any final clarity.

Oppo and OnePlus are targeting all current European markets. We’ve had a great start to 2023 with the successful launch of several products in Europe and we have a pipeline of upcoming products for the rest of the year. As always, Oppo and OnePlus will continue to offer more innovative products and best-in-class user services in the future.

It looks like Oppo and OnePlus will stay in their current European markets until at least the end of 2023. However, the companies do not say anything about their plans after 2023.

The companies also talked about being banned from using their phones in Germany due to a patent lawsuit that ended in Nokia’s favor. They released the following joint statement:

The measure is currently limited to the German market. Oppo is working as usual in other European countries. We are committed to our current markets and are actively working with Nokia to resolve the issue as before. Meanwhile, all users, including users in Germany, can continue to use their products, receive after-sales service and receive future updates.

According to popular insider Roland Quandt, Oppo will be shutting down the German team by the end of June. However, he added that this does not mean that he will stop working in the EU.
