DJI has announced its new goggles DJI Integra glasses, compatible with DJI Avata and FPV Drone FPV drones. The goggles are very similar to the Goggles 2, but have some very important modifications, including the price. As a novelty, the glasses now almost have a built-in battery, since it is not in the body of the glasses, but in the buckle that fastens the glasses to the head. Another innovation is that the touch control system is gone, returning to similar FPV Goggles V2 control via joystick.

The design of the Goggles Integra is very similar to the Goggles 2 released alongside the Avata drone. The main changes are a new battery, the control system that has been changed no longer touches the button and joystick as in the Goggles V2 FPV goggles that come with the FPV drone. This was another request from some users who didn’t like the touch command system.

DJI notes that the Goggles Integra are more practical to use thanks to a new battery system partially integrated into the goggles, which is part of the “buckle” responsible for attaching the drone to the pilot’s head. The wire connecting the battery and the glasses is hidden inside the buckle, which solves a very annoying problem with the company’s previous glasses, which had a long and awkward cable to connect to the battery. With this change, DJI has also integrated an on/off button into the body of the goggles, which in other models is located on the battery itself.

Nothing has changed from the Goggles 2 when it comes to screen quality, and the Goggles Integra offers the same 1080p Micro-OLED screens, 700 nits brightness, 100Hz refresh rate, and support for H.264 and H.265.

Like other specifications, Goggles Integra supports the O3+ transmission system with a 30ms latency, providing good response when transmitting images from the drone’s camera. The communications system is still capable of automatically switching between 2.4GHz and 5.8GHz to make the pilot feel better. DJI also highlights SyncSmooth technology, which generates clear and stable video streams for high-speed recording.
