A major Australian retailer has launched the new PS5 Slim in the country, a version of Sony’s much-rumored console that the store described as “the thinnest PS5 with a new design”. Those are exactly the two most visible changes that Slim versions usually bring.

For a long time now, we have been encountering a lot of information that points to the launch of a new version of Sony’s console. We’ve seen rumors pointing to a model with a removable optical drive, and there’s also been information that talks about a possible PS5 Slim, but in the end it’s most likely that both point to the same console, because it makes no sense to think that Sony can launch two different versions.

We know that the PS5 Slim will have a new design and that it will be smaller than the PS5.
