DJI has released a new update firmware v01.00.0200 for drone Mini 3 bringing among the novelties support for photos in 48 MP, a resolution higher than that announced when the drone was announced (and as shown on the DJI website / see image below), i.e. 12MP. Even more curiously, the Mini 3 and Mini 3 Pro cameras are very similar, including the same sensor size, 1/1.3-inch, both with a fixed aperture of f/1.7 and the ability to capture photos and videos in landscape and portrait modes. Despite the similarities, there are differences between the cameras, whether they are hardware or even software, since before then the resolution of photos would have been a limitation indicating different hardware, but apparently this was not the case. As for other differences between the cameras, the Pro can record video at 4K 60FPS, provides a maximum video bitrate of 150Mbps, ISO up to 6400, and support for profiles like D-Cinelike in addition to supporting 10-bit colors. , all features not found in the Mini 3 camera, as you can see in the specs above.

In addition to supporting the 48MP camera, the Mini 3 also received the ability to reset the drone to factory settings, and the firmware requires the new version of DJI Fly v1.9.8, also released today.

The Mini 3 Pro drone also received v01.00.0500 firmware update along with new features. Like the Mini 3, the drone received the ability to reset to factory settings through the DJI Fly v1.9.8 app, which has been updated in the Android and iOS apps, as well as in the DJI RC controller.
