Fedorov noted that the project to create an assault UAV company was created with the participation of the General Staff, the State Special Forces, the Ministry of Defense and the UNITED24 foundation. Drones will perform reconnaissance and attack missions. They will target artillery, help soldiers be as effective as possible in city battles, and save lives. Pickups will be needed for raids by mobile groups behind enemy lines, delivery of goods and evacuation of the wounded. Starlinks is seamless communication on the battlefield. Earlier, the General Staff announced the establishment of the world’s first UAV attack companies. According to the military, such units are being created for the first time in the world. It is reported that the creation of UAV assault companies as part of the Defense Forces was approved by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, General Valery Zaluzhny. Their formation takes place within the framework of the project “Drone Army”.

The project is distinguished by a completely new approach to the management, training and doctrine of drone use. The military noted that the most professional soldiers to lead the shock companies have already been selected. According to them, each of them will receive Starlink for drones and ammunition, as well as communications and other necessary equipment.

The General Staff reported that the main partner for the training of shock companies will be the Boryviter military school. The military command does not specify which drones these units will be equipped with. Presumably, these will be kamikaze drones of different classes with different warheads and flight ranges for solving combat missions at different distances.
