HP TerraJet toner is more compact, has a wider color gamut and makes its debut in the new HP Color Laserjet range.

At the HP Amplify Conference, the printer specialist announces a completely new toner technology. Thanks to low-melt technology, the toner in all other laser printers from HP and competing brands requires up to 27 percent less energy than a conventional model.

The cartridge is 30 percent smaller, resulting in up to 17 percent more compact printers. Extra bonus: The new technology ensures that a laser printer is ready for use 25 percent faster because it no longer has to warm up. The Terrajet technique also makes it less traditional wear and tear as HP itself says during the press conference.

With Terrajet, HP places a strong focus on sustainability. Compared to a traditional cartridge, it contains 28 percent less plastic, 66 percent less metal and an overall lower carbon footprint of 25 percent.

With the HP LaserJet 4000, 5000 and 6000 series, HP is introducing the technology to SMB devices for the first time. The manufacturer is renewing almost the entire portfolio in the medium-sized market. You can read all the details about the new devices here.
