HP renews range of laser printers for SMBs and companies

In addition to new devices within the LaserJet 4000 series, the colorful 5000 and 6000 series are in preparation.

With the new HP Terrajet toner, the printer manufacturer has an important innovation to make laser printers more energy-efficient and at the same time guarantee a better color palette. The technology is finding its way into a whole range of new devices.

For the most compact devices you can turn to the new HP Color LaserJet 4200 and 4300. Both models benefit from the new technology to use up to 27 percent less energy while delivering 25 percent faster print speeds. The device has an intelligent dashboard that allows IT administrators to conveniently view, monitor and manage all settings.

Where the rest of the line-up is strikingly colourful, the new 4000 series comes only in blue. Prices for the higher-end model within the range go up to $700.

5000 series

One level higher we find the new 5000 series in the enterprise area. The LaserJet 5700 Enterprise SFP is the base model and starts at $1,050. This model replaces the M554 and M555 and comes in a striking yellow colorway. Our supplied photos show a standard blue color which is also available.

A little further up we find the HP LaserJet 5800 Enterprise MFP with, as the name suggests, a scan/copy function and an additional paper tray. This device replaces the current M578 and is available in green, as well as the standard blue.

Enterprise X and 6000 series

The larger devices with higher print volumes are the new HP LaserJet 6000 series with the Laserjet 6700 Enterprise SFP as the basic model in a striking purple with color gradient across the various paper trays. This model replaces the current M652 and M653 models.

One model higher brings us the HP LaserJet 6800 Enterprise SFP with copy/scan function in red or blue color. The latter is the default color when you place an order. The model replaces the current M681 and M682.

Finally, HP announces that it will change the names of the contract devices later this year Managed Unpleasant Company X.
