Over 5 billion blocked ads
In addition, the new tool is part of Google’s efforts to improve the security of its platform. According to the 2022 Ad Safety Report, last year Google blocked or removed more than 5.2 billion ads, restricted more than 4.3 billion ads, and suspended more than 6.7 million advertiser accounts.
With the new Ad Transparency Center, Google is following in the footsteps of Facebook, which launched the Ad Library in 2019.
