Tesla has announced that it is voluntarily recalling semi trucks for the first time since the company began delivering large electric trucks to customers in December 2022.

As reported by Ukrinform, reported CNBC.

According to recall documents posted on the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s website, 35 trucks were affected. Tesla Semi.

The trucks were built with the electronic parking brake valve module which was found to be defective by supplier Bendix in February 2023.

This flaw made drivers vulnerable to incidents and increased the likelihood of an accident on the road.

Faulty modules may “fail to enter park with the handbrake on”, allowing the Semi to exit the parking space on its own without the driver’s knowledge.

According to the documents, this situation has not resulted in any accident or damage as of today.

As reported by Ukrinform, South Korean companies Hyundai and Kia are recalling about 500,000 vehicles due to the risk of ignition.
