The release of The Last of Us Part I for PC caused blisters. Don’t get me wrong, it’s actually one of the best games of its genre I really enjoyed it on the PS4 remastered version which runs at 1080p and 60 FPSand the truth is that it still looks great today.

The version that came to PC uses The Last of Us Part II graphics engine, a game that was also developed for the PS4, a console that has hardware from 2013 that has been outdated for a long time. That Sony decided to release The Last of Us Part I remake only on PS5 was rather curious, as I’m sure the game could have run on PS4 after all. Not clear to you? Well, check out the attached video.

There is no significant graphical jumpall we have are minor changes in design, contrast and use of colors which finally confirm what I have already told you on other occasions that The Last of Us Part I Remake is a “copy paste” remastering under the graphics engine of the second part, originally designed to run smoothly under PS4 hardware.

Despite everything, The Last of Us Part I has become one of the worst PC ports in history in its own right. The reviews on Steam have gone from mostly negative to mixed, but that doesn’t make up for the fact 11,151 out of 18,629 reviews are negative. There’s a curious thing going on within the positive reviews, and that’s that some of them don’t exactly make sense because they acknowledge the negative things, but give the game a favorable review.

I realized that this is a more serious problem than I thought, and it is it is whitewashed and justifies the sorry state in which The Last of Us Part I arrived on PC based on two nonsensical arguments that it is a “next gen” game and that it is normal that it is so demanding and that it is not optimized on PC as it is on PS4. .

The state in which The Last of Us Part I Remake arrived on PC It’s inexcusable, it’s an example of a job poorly done and one of the best examples of how a compatible port should not be. To defend or justify otherwise is to do a disservice to PC and the entire gaming community on this platform.

Personally, I am clear about it I won’t buy the game because I find it disrespectful to PC gamers and that I’m not going to buy any more titles that arrive on this platform in such a bad state. Now it’s your turn, I’d love to know your thoughts on this topic in the comments. we read each other
