A lot has happened since January 2022, when we first met the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, a “Fan Edition” (they are abbreviations for “FE”) of high-end Samsung. a cheaper option that we can place in the mid-high range. But there was no sign of the Galaxy S22 FE.
The good news is that we could see a Galaxy S23 FE this year as a special edition to be added to the already known Galaxy S23. At least, that’s what they’ve pointed out from SamMobile, which also hints at some of the key features this long-awaited generation will have. The only downside is that we may have to wait a little longer to meet him officially.
As strong as ‘S22’. And it’s good and bad at the same time
The main idea that the SamMobile report comes up with is that the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE exists. Or rather, it will exist, because they confirm that Samsung’s idea was to release it. in the fourth quarter of this year, just before the Galaxy S24 was released. It wouldn’t be surprising to know that the ‘FE’ in previous generations came out months after the ‘S’ to which they also refer, and on the doorstep of the next generations.
The source states that apart from reporting the existence of this device, there will be an Exynos 2200 inside, Samsung’s proprietary chip and what the ‘S22’ already has. Seeing the great performance provided by the ‘S23 for the Galaxy’ Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 compared to the Exynos 2200, we can read that as bad news. Nothing could be further from the truth.
It’s true that there are better chips out there already, but the context in which it ultimately scored negatively was Samsung’s integration into high-end mobile phones in 2022. this shouldn’t be a bad chip for a mid-high range like the Galaxy S23 FE either. They also say that it will come with 6 and 8 GB RAM options and 128 and 256 GB storage options on SamMobile.
One thing that doesn’t seem to change from the Galaxy S21 FE to the future Galaxy S23 FE is the battery issue. And this is that the person will become integrated again. 4,500 mAh capacity with 25 W “fast” charging. The offers come not because it’s a slow charge, but because it’s far from what many other manufacturers offer. Although we see that the Samsung Galaxy S23 and Galaxy S23+ are also limited to this power, it would be strange for the ‘FE’ to reach the 45 W offered by the Galaxy S23 Ultra.
Although the main camera is still not 100% clear, it may be an element shared with the Galaxy S23 and S23 +.
One thing that will have to do with this new ‘FE’ is its camera, but not much is known for sure about its specs here. The SamMobile report mentioned above, maybe a 50 megapixel main Similar (or even identical) to the Galaxy S23 and S23+. This would be a significant step up from the Galaxy S21 FE’s 12-megapixel main lens. However, we insist that this point is not yet fully clarified.
So we are facing a couple of months when we will definitely get more confirmation about this expected phone and possibly shed some more light on the full specs table. For now, it doesn’t look too bad if what’s been said is done.
