Kensington also provides fifteen ports on the device. On the front is another USB Type-C Gen 2 port, a USB A (Gen 2) port, an SD card slot, and a 3.5mm audio jack. On the back you will find five USB-A ports (Gen 1, Gigabit Ethernet, two DisplayPort 1.2 and two HDMI 2.0. To take full advantage of these ports, your laptop must support USB-C alt mode. In this If you need to, you’ll get 4K at 60Hz on one screen or 1440p at 60Hz on two displays.

Flexible placement

You can stand the dock horizontally or vertically, or combine it with a mounting piece to mount it on the side or bottom of your desk. Kensington says compatibility with original M1 laptops is limited in terms of video, but newer devices (like M1 Max, M1 Pro) work fine.

The SD5600T docking station is available now. We can find it online from about 338 euros including VAT.
