According to Reuters, France and Ireland have already asked their counterparts in Italy why they blocked ChatGPT nationwide. In Germany, too, a blocking of ChatGPT is being examined for reasons of data security. The German data protection officer informed the Handelsblatt.

Spain has not received any official charges in the meantime, but is considering launching its own investigations in the future if necessary.

It is not clear what impact the investigation will have on ChatGPT and whether Bard can bear the consequences of the further investigation. Google has trained its model with different parameters and has been active in Europe longer, which could mean that it has kept a closer eye on the GDPR.
