The cloud giant is today opening registration for an accelerator program aimed at helping startups build generative AI-based solutions.
The AWS Generative AI Accelerator runs in ten weeks and is intended to help start-ups to get generative AI projects off the ground. AWS is aimed at candidates who already have a minimum workable concept. Select participants will receive technical support via AWS credits to use for compute on the hyperscaler’s cloud infrastructure. AWS would like to sponsor up to $300,000 in credits. The program also offers technical deep dives, networking opportunities and support.
The program can be a great opportunity for startups working with the technology. For its part, AWS naturally has the opportunity to connect young companies to its infrastructure. Training (generative) AI models and then inferring them when humans use them requires a lot of computing power. This makes AI companies potentially interesting customers for hyperscalers.
