According to TARS, Cisco Systems, a manufacturer of network equipment and software products, “physically destroyed” material and production stocks in Russia in the amount of 1.86 billion rubles in January of this year. This decision was made in August 2022 due to the cessation of sales in Russia, the termination of Cisco licenses and services, and the impossibility of re-export. Mainly spare parts were destroyed, but the IT equipment itself went under the knife, which is also confirmed in the accounting statements of the company.

“Material and production stocks were physically destroyed in January 2023, and in connection with this, as of December 31, 2022, a reserve was accrued for the cost reduction of the entire cost of stocks – 1,864 billion rubles, ” the documents say.

In addition, the fixed assets of the Russian division worth 1 million rubles were destroyed, including vehicles, office furniture and equipment, as well as demonstration equipment.

“Cisco Systems” has terminated most of its employment contracts with its employees by mutual agreement of the parties. The total amount of payments was about 190 million rubles. The number of companies, which was 60 by the end of 2021, was five at the end of 2022.
