A month after launching its 11-series flagship, OnePlus is targeting the mid-range with the launch of the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite and the Nord Buds 2 wireless headphones.
OnePlus has deviated from its strategy”Never settle down» in 2020, when it launched its first Nord smartphone. Since then, the company has undergone structural and ideological changes, and the diversification of the assortment is one of them.
Its main specifications were revealed by the manufacturer in the past weeks and now we know them in full. It is equipped with a multi-touch display 6.73 inches with native FHD+ resolution and adaptive refresh rate 120 Hz.
Your engine is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695, a mid-range 5G-enabled chipset that comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB or 256GB storage options. The rear camera mounts a sensor of colossal dimensions, 108 megapixels, supplemented by two more for depth and 2 MP macro. For selfies, it includes a front 16MP.
The terminal has a 5,000 mAh battery that can charge it to 80% in just 30 minutes with 67 W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. It includes the OxygenOS 13.1 UI layer, the latest version built on top of Android 13, and will go on sale in Europe from April 20 for 329 euros. It will be distributed in two color variants, Pastel Lime and Chromatic Grey, and can already be reserved in Spain.
Along with the mobile, the manufacturer announced the launch of some wireless headphones. It’s one of the accessories that has seen the most sales growth in recent years, and OnePlus wants a piece of the pie. Using the same design as the previous Nord Buds, they are wireless in-ear headphones with generously sized drivers (12.4mm) and an extra layer of titanium over the diaphragm to improve sound output.
They are designed for a sound profile with a dynamic bass boost using the same BassWave algorithm as the more premium and expensive OnePlus Buds Pro 2. They are compatible with Google’s Fast Pair technology and have Bluetooth 5.2. Other notable features include fast charging with the included case, IP55 protection against light rain and sweat, and support for active noise cancellation not often seen in its price range.
The Nord Buds 2 are now available in white or black finishes and have an official price that is quite limited 69 euros.
