YouTube recently introduced a dedicated “Podcasts” tab on their channel page, making it easy to find and access podcast content. This feature is now available worldwide. YouTube has brought a separate “Podcasts” tab to its channel pages. This new feature aims to simplify the process of finding and accessing podcast content on the platform. The Podcasts tab sits between the Live and Playlist tabs on channel pages, making it easy for users to find podcast playlists edited by creators. Previously, users had to search by name, show a card, or manually navigate to the Playlist tab, which didn’t separate podcasts from other content.

This updated approach to podcast discovery not only streamlines the user experience, but also encourages YouTube creators to upload episodes as videos in a specific category. Channels like Electrek.co and Team Coco have launched a new Podcasts tab that makes their content accessible.

While the YouTube app now includes a separate Podcasts tab, YouTube Music is still working on integrating podcast support. Once applied, appropriately tagged podcasts appear in YouTube Music. Support for YouTube Music podcasts is currently in testing and access is limited to a limited number of users.

Currently, the Podcasts tab in the YouTube app focuses primarily on video content. However, Google has encouraged podcast creators to upload square covers for their podcasts that will soon be fully integrated into the visual feature.
