A Microsoft sends a free flash drive with the installer Windows 11 for program participants Windows Insider Program wishing to try out the “Canarian” version of the operating system.

According to the Beta News website, in order to receive the flash drive, you must have an email invitation and a verification code. Units are limited and delivery may take up to eight weeks.

For users who like to try new things, the news is encouraging. Microsoft is betting on a group of testers who will try out new features that may be in development.

Canary is known to the developers as the version that contains the latest news and may be unstable. However, if Microsoft is willing to give away flash drives for testing, it could be a sign that significant changes are coming.

While the company hasn’t officially confirmed it, it’s speculated that the features tested in the “Canary” channel may arrive in the next major Windows update. Rumor has it that Windows 12, or whatever it’s called, could be released as early as next year.

On Twitter, a user identified as Noah posted a photo of his USB stick with the Windows Insider logo. Noah said that with 64GB of storage, he received the device quickly. It looks like Microsoft is shipping devices faster than expected.
