Development counter strike 2 it’s already a reality. The continuation of the well-known multiplayer shooter from Valve has the task of at least maintaining the quality and interest of the players in the product, so it will have to introduce some changes and new features that will help make it more attractive compared to Global Offensive. For this reason, in addition to the expected graphical improvement thanks to the use of the Source 2 engine, we recently learned that the sequel will include support for NVIDIA Reflex to reduce latencies.
The great popularity of online multiplayer video games and the increasingly competitive environment have raised concerns about latency, which can become a defining factor for gamers who take their gaming seriously.
That’s where NVIDIA Reflex comes in, an end-to-end SDK built with esports in mind shortens the time between when a player makes an input via keyboard and mouse and when the result is displayed on the monitor, traversing the CPU and GPU in the process. With a shorter render queue, the CPU can sample mouse, keyboard, or controller input at the last millisecond to reduce the gap between the time the player makes input and the game’s response. The green giant says its technology does can reduce latency by up to 35%.
NVIDIA Reflex has already been included in titles like Fortnite and Valorant, although Counter-Strike: Global Offensive does not support it. By including it in Counter-Strike 2, Valve implements a feature that may be highly requested by competitive players, if NVIDIA’s clear dominance in this segment is not already visible.
One of the most important aspects that Counter-Strike 2 should consider is the system requirements, which are low in Global Offensive considering the age of the game. Fortunately, NVIDIA Reflex will work on GeForce GTX 900 series graphics cards that appeared in 2014though to really get the most out of it, you might want to use a monitor with a 120Hz refresh rate or higher.
