The Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps of Iran (IRGC) introduced its newest suicide plane, Me’raj 532, designed and manufactured in Iran. General Ali Kuhestani, head of the IRGC Land Forces Jihad Research and Self-Confidence Organization, told the state news agency Tasnim, which is linked to terrorist organizations, that a new unmanned aerial vehicle called “Me’raj-532” was tested. successfully.

According to the general’s statement, the domestically produced suicide plane is equipped with a piston engine and can travel 450 kilometers in one direction. He added that the drone could rise to an altitude of 12 thousand feet in 3 hours and take off from the vehicle.

The drone, which has a 50-kilogram warhead, can hit the desired targets with high precision. In addition, the drone’s design is easily customizable, which reduces setup time and improves responsiveness and handling.”

He noted that the development of unmanned aerial vehicles in the Russian Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic Land Forces is progressing at an appropriate pace, and that other combat, training and suicidal UAVs will be added to the combat fleet in the near future.

Iranian suicide drones have gained infamous popularity recently due to their use in Ukraine by Russia. In February, Iran’s Revolutionary Guards launched a Shahed 136 drone towards the Campo Square oil tanker owned by Israeli businessman Eyal Ofer in the Persian Gulf.
