Microsoft has started notifying Windows 10 users about the impending end of operating system support. This has been reported by Neowin.
A reminder has appeared on the institution’s website that Windows 10 21H2 support will end on June 13, 2023. Windows 10 Home is about the Pro version as well as changes for educational institutions and corporate customers. In June, Microsoft will release the latest update for the most popular version of the operating system.
“After this date, devices with this version will no longer receive monthly security updates and previous updates that include protection against the latest security threats”, – noted company representatives. In this context, Microsoft urged old operating system users to switch to Windows 11.
The 21H2 update took place on November 16, 2021. The first version of Windows 10 was released on July 29, 2015. On January 31, 2023, Microsoft stopped selling Windows 10 licenses on its website.
